Rust is a costly global problem, and we've got the economical and practical solutions!

Why are our products different from all the others? We make rust converting coatings. Most other products on the market are only rust inhibitors. What does that mean? The rust inhibitors only slow down the corrosion process, while our coatings convert rusted surfaces into paintable surfaces in one easy step, with superior adhesion to all metal surfaces, clean or rusted, such as steel, corten steel, tin, zinc, galvanized metal, and aluminum. The result is a satin finish that may be left as is or painted over for additional environmental protection or appearance.

With their unique, special properties our products can be used in a wide variety of applications, from tricycles to battleships.

How does it work? It's magic! X-Ray Diffraction Spectroscopy (XRD) lab testing shows that there is no rust under the painted area.

Advanced Protective Products has been manufacturing and marketing Rust Destroyer®, the universal base rust converting coating, since 1982. During this time, Rust Destroyer® has been approved by Meadowlands Race Track, Giants Stadium, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Department of the Navy, New York Transit Authority, Electric power generating companies, Railroad companies, Wastewater treatment plants, Korean Register of Shipping, Korean Highway Research Department, Korean Highway Corporation, Korean Classification society, and Singapore Industrial Standard Research, to name a few.

Looking ahead to the next millennium, we've developed, and are manufacturing and marketing Rust Knockout®, the waterborne version of Rust Destroyer®. Rust Knockout® has an insignificant VOC of 30 grams/liter as well as some acid, alkali, and solvent resistance. Both Rust Destroyer® and Rust Knockout® are approved by the Korean Register of Shipping.

Both products are easy-to-use, one step systems that can be applied directly over rust, bare metal, and previously painted surfaces. Before applying, just remove loose or scaling particles, grease, and dirt so that you are working with a firm, parintable surface. No sandblasting, scraping to bare metal, or sanding is needed.
